Woman admits crushing a man with her car in Dublin four years ago
A 25-year-old woman has admitted killing a father-of-four by crushing him with her car almost four years ago.
Claire Nolan, of Sheephill Green in Blanchardstown, Dublin, pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter at the Central Criminal Court on Monday.
She admitted driving her Nissan Micra into Michael Duffy on 26 January 2008.
Mr Duffy's spine was broken and he died of crush injuries to his chest.
He had been in his son's driveway at Wellview Grove in Blanchardstown when the incident happened.
Ms Nolan was remanded on bail, pending preparation of probation and victim impact reports.
Her sentencing is due to take place in March next year.
