Cannabis haul found at Irish port

Herbal cannabis valued at 96,000 euros (£78,700) has been seized at a port in the Republic of Ireland.

Customs officers made the seizure during a routine patrol at Rosslare in County Wexford.

The Irish broadcaster RTE reported that 8kg of the drug was found hidden in a vehicle which had just come off a ferry from France.

A Lithuanian man aged in his 20s was arrested and is being held at Wexford Garda Station.
