Bus driver jailed over fatal crash in County Meath
A former bus driver has been sent to prison in the Republic of Ireland following a crash in which a man died.
Sorin Dinu, from Castlecurragh Heath in Mulhuddart, County Dublin, was driving a bus which crashed into a roundabout in County Meath, in February 2009.
The bus then became airborne, and landed on a vehicle driven by Cathal O'Leary, who was killed instantly.
Mr Dinu, who is 45 years old, was jailed for three years. The judge refused permission to appeal the term.
At the time of the crash, he was working for Bus Éireann, the Republic of Ireland's public bus company.
