Campaign against human sex trafficking in Republic

A billboard and social media campaign against human trafficking is being launched in the Republic of Ireland.

The Turn Off the Red Light campaign aims to change the law to make it illegal to pay for sex.

The billboards highlight cases of teenagers being forced into prostitution.

An Irish parliamentary committee is expected to hold public hearings on a possible change to the prostitution laws.

The campaign has the backing of over 50 organisations, ranging from trade unions to political parties, and human rights groups.
