Nine men arrested in Limerick dissident republican investigation

Irish police have arrested nine men as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.

The arrests took place after officers carried out a number of searches in Limerick city and county on Monday morning.

The men, who range in age from their 30s to their 50s, are being questioned at five different garda stations across County Limerick.

They are being detained under the Offences Against the State Act.
