Woman dies after Navan bus crash

A woman in her 30s has died after the car she was driving was involved in a crash with a double-decker bus in the Republic of Ireland.

The collision happened on the Kells Road, near Navan in County Meath, at about 18:10 GMT on Monday.

A three-year-old passenger in the same car was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The bus driver and up to ten bus passengers were also treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Two separate investigations into the cause of the crash are now underway, one by Irish police and the other by Bus √Čireann, the company which owns the double-decker.
