Max Shatto case: US and Russia adoption talks

Help

The death of the adopted Russian three-year-old Max Shatto is expected be the key talking point in talks between US secretary of state John Kerry and Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday.

Authorities in Texas are still investigating how the three-year-old died, but Russian officials have accused his American adopted mother of killing him.

The US ambassador to Russia has warned against "the sensational exploitations of human tragedy".

Daniel Sandford reports.
