Ireland may win more time to repay bail-out loans

Eurozone finance ministers meeting in Brussels have agreed in principle to extend the deadline for the Republic of Ireland to repay its bail-out loans.

The 27 EU finance ministers are expected to discuss the issue again on Tuesday.

Final approval is expected to be given at an EU ministerial meeting in Dublin in April.

Both Ireland and Portugal are seeking an extra 15 years to repay their loans.
