Political stalemate continues in Italy

A month after Italy held a general election, its political leaders have yet to form a government.

Pier Luigi Bersani's Democratic Party won the most votes but failed to win a majority in parliament, and President Giorgio Napolitano has been unable to break the political stalemate.
