Rocket mountain bike beats speed record


The record for the top speed reached on a mountain bike was broken on Sunday.

Frenchman Fran├žois Gissy reached a speed of 263km/h (163 mph).

The mountain bike powered by hydrogen peroxide broke the previous record of 242.6km/h (150 mph) on a track near Mulhouse, eastern France.
