Man killed in County Monaghan collision

A man killed in a two-car road collision in County Monaghan is believed to have been from County Tyrone.

The man, who was in his 20s, was driving alone in a car that collided with a second vehicle on the Dublin to Monaghan road near Carrickmacross at about 07:00 GMT.

Two people in the second car were taken to hospital in Drogheda.

Their injuries are not life-threatening police said.
