Three people have been injured during an assault near a house in Lisburn, County Antrim.

Two men were treated for stab wounds and a woman sustained face and body injuries during the incident at Iniscarn Close shortly after 01: 50 GMT on Tuesday.

The police said there were reports of people trying to enter a house.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both men's injuries are not believed to be life threatening and both are in a stable condition in hospital.

The woman's injuries are not believed to be serious.
