A 34-year-old Italian man charged with the murder of his Dublin landlord did not appear in court on Friday.

The court heard Saverio Bellante, who is originally from Palermo in Sicily, told arresting police he was guilty of the murder of Tom O'Gorman.

Mr O'Gorman, 39, died at his home in Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock.

On Friday, psychiatric reports were handed over to the judge at a Cloverhill District Court in the city.

The case was adjourned for two weeks.
