26 January 2014 Last updated at 18:57 GMT

In Kiev, thousands of demonstrators have paused to mark the passing of a coffin belonging to one of two protesters killed on Wednesday.

In other parts of the country thousands of people are reported to have stormed government buildings as the unrest spreads.
