Two workplace deaths investigated in Dublin and Limerick

A 17-year-old boy and a 54-year-old man have died in separate workplace accidents in the Republic of Ireland.

The teenager died while cutting trees in Bruree, County Limerick, on Friday.

Ryan Cusack, a trainee jockey and stablehand, was injured when he was caught between a tractor and trailer.

The older man was crushed against a wall by a digger in Skerries, County Dublin on Friday. The Health and Safety Authority is investigating both deaths.

The police have also issued an appeal for witnesses to the Skerries incident, which happened on the Harbour Road at about 11:50 GMT.
