William Hague 'concerned' over Ukraine situation

UK Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has said that he is "concerned" over the escalation of tensions in Ukraine after the Russian parliament gave President Putin permission to use troops there to protect the lives of Russian citizens during the unrest.

Mr Hague said Russia's action was a potentially grave threat to the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
