Ivor Callely admits false expenses claim

A former junior minister in the Republic of Ireland has pleaded guilty to making a false expenses claim.

Former Fianna Fáil minister Ivor Callely admitted making a false claim for mobile phone charges at a court in Dublin.

Mr Callely, 55, from Clontarf, Dublin, had been due to go on trial later this month on six counts of making false claims.

He was charged with six counts of making false mobile phone expenses claims between 2007 and 2009.
