Ukraine crisis: 'Dangerous' weeks ahead in Crimea

US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have held talks in London just two days before before a potentially explosive referendum in Crimea.

The BBC's John Simpson considers why Russia is asserting its power in the region.
