Bomb made safe at house in Bray, County Wicklow

Police in the Republic of Ireland have begun an investigation after a bomb was made safe in County Wicklow.

The device was found at a house in Old Court, Bray, on Friday night.

A number of homes were evacuated, and a cordon and road closures were put in place for public safety.

The device was removed to a safe military location where it was dismantled and confirmed as viable. The scene was declared safe at 21:40 BST.
