Tahir Elci shooting: Pro-Kurdish lawyer killed in Diyarbakir, Turkey

Pro-Kurdish lawyer and human rights activist Tahir Elci has been shot dead while giving a speech in the Turkish city of Diyarbakir.
Conflicting reports have described a 'targeted killing' and that he was caught up in a gun battle between police and unidentified gunmen.
Later, in Istanbul, around 2,000 people marched on Taksim Square and were driven back by riot police using water cannon and tear gas.
