Irish man Keith Collins killed in Sydney stabbing at Hornsby Mall
An Irish man has died after being stabbed while dining with a woman in Sydney, Australia, RTE reports.
Keith Collins, 53, was attacked in Hornsby Mall in the city's upper north shore on Wednesday night. The woman was also injured.
It is understood Mr Collins was from Dublin and had been living in Terrigal, New South Wales, for some time.
The injured woman was taken to hospital following the attack.
A 44-year-old man was arrested nearby and was taken to Hornsby Police Station where he was charged with murder and attempted murder.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is aware of the incident but has had no requests for consular assistance.
