A woman has been sexually assaulted in an overnight attack near Clondalkin village in west Dublin.

It is believed she was pushing a bike on Newlands Road when three men pulled her into a park and one of them raped her, according to broadcaster RTÉ.

The attack happened at about 03:20 local time and officers have cordoned off a section of the road.

A Garda (Irish police) spokesman said no arrests have been made and appealed for witnesses.
