People across the Bailiwick of Guernsey have paid tribute to military personnel who have lost their lives in conflict.

Tributes were paid to their sacrifices during Remembrance Sunday services staged in Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.

Wreaths were laid at the war memorial in St Peter Port by the Lieutenant Governor Sir Fabian Malbon and Guernsey Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland.

Military organisations and community groups also laid wreaths and the Dean of Guernsey gave the service address.

The rain failed to dampen people's determination to pay their respects and about 300 people attended the ceremony in Guernsey.
