Royal wedding celebrations held in Guernsey

Channel Islands churches rang out in celebration of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

A field party - as opposed to a street party - took place in St Martin and attracted hundreds of islanders.

Guernsey's St Saviour's Church was not the venue for the wedding but many attended in their smartest attire to watch the service on a big screen.

Other islanders decorated their houses with bunting to celebrate a link to the English Crown dating back to 1066.
