Plane's infrared used in missing man search

Channel Islands Air Search was called out to help search for a missing man.

The aircraft Lion's Pride was called out at 0245 BST by Guernsey Police to search for an elderly man who had gone missing from his home.

A crew member said: "We were able to use our infrared equipment to search for the man who was known to have a dog with him.

"We located and ruled out a number of people prior to him being found safe and well... [near] the airport."
