Guernsey man found after nighttime search

A man is being assessed at Guernsey's Princess Elizabeth Hospital after being found by an extensive search of the north of the island on Tuesday night.

The Channel Islands Air Search plane was called out at 2330 BST by Guernsey Police to search for a man who had gone missing from his Vale home.

The search focussed on the coastal areas around L'Ancresse and Bordeaux.

Guernsey Police said the 27-year-old man was found not far from his home at 0445 BST.
