States of Guernsey's volume of work 'needs extra days'

The States will sit for extra days next year to squeeze in all outstanding business before the election in April.

With 10 reports lined up for February and 17 for March, as well as a motion to review the system of government, both will start a day earlier.

The meetings will start on 21 February and 6 March.

Both meeting have been rescheduled earlier than normal to avoid clashing with the pending period for the general election.
