Guernsey scouts hope to build rope course

A £55,000 high-rope assault course could be built for Guernsey's scouts if plans are approved.

The Bailiwick's scout association hopes to build the 15ft (5m) structure in one of the fields at its Rue Maingy headquarters, in the Vale.

Julie Bulpitt, Bailiwick Commissioner, said the project was expensive and they would need to find sponsorship, but it would be worth it.

She said: "It will be open to everyone and a first for Guernsey."

Mrs Bulpitt said she was confident the funding needed would be found if the plans were approved.
