Guernsey pupils join sign language world record attempt

More than 200 Guernsey school children have joined an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of Records.

The pupils from Beechwood and Acorn House schools joined more than 150,000 UK school children in using sign language while singing.

If confirmed by Guinness, the attempt would beat the previous record of almost 95,000 pupils.

The record attempt was also aimed at raising funds for the charity Sign Health, which assists deaf people.
