Guernsey man dies in hang glider accident

A British man has died after a hang gliding accident in Spain, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

James Berryman, 59, from Guernsey, was undergoing training at a hang glider school in Algodonales, Cadiz, when he was fatally injured on Friday.

It is understood the school was approved by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office in London said consular assistance had been provided for his relatives.
