Guernsey States members agree to reveal interests

Guernsey States members have unanimously agreed to increase the amount of information they declare about their interests outside politics.

Members also agreed a change to the original proposals, which called for deputies to disclose details of the property they own in the Bailiwick.

The previous States approved the changes in March, but they were brought back before being put into law.

The register of members' interests will be open to the public at the Greffe.
