Guernsey Airport was closed for 20 minutes after a private plane reported smoke coming from its left side engine shortly after landing.

Three airport fire appliances were sent to deal with the incident aboard a twin-engine plane.

It was blocking a taxiway and caused the runway to be closed at 16:25 BST. It reopened at 16:45 and there were no reported injuries.

Flights in and out of the airport were delayed, but none were diverted.
