Jersey States invite John Hemming 'to discuss concerns'

A UK MP who has claimed powerful people in Jersey have covered up crimes has been invited to discuss his concerns with the island's government.

Liberal Democrat John Hemming made a number of allegations while speaking in the Commons on Tuesday.

He urged the UK Government to ensure there was good governance in Jersey.

Sir Philip Bailhache, Jersey's Assistant Chief Minister, has offered to meet the MP at the Liberal Democrats party conference in Brighton next week.
