Sark man faces business licence charge

A Sark man has appeared in Guernsey's Magistrates Court charged with conducting regulated business activities without a fiduciary licence.

Michael Doyle, 44, appeared alongside his wife Belinda Lanyon, 51. They live at La Connellerie in Sark.

Both were charged with disposing of evidence after a Sark property was raided by border agency officers.

Both were remanded in custody. Mr Doyle is due to appear before the court on 7 December and Ms Lanyon on 29 November.

Sixteen officers from the border agency were involved in the raid on 19 November.
