Guernsey bus driver admits drink driving

A Guernsey coach driver has pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

David Thomson, 46, was found to be nearly twice the legal limit after he struck a low wall on Route Militaire, 15 minutes into his shift on 2 February.

He was driving an Island Coachways vehicle but there were no passengers on board at the time.

Thomson appeared at the island's Magistrate's Court. Sentencing is due to take place on 14 March.
