Repairs to stop water damaging St Anne's Church in Alderney have been agreed by the island's States.

Concerns were first raised about the leaking roof in 2009, but moves to find a contractor to do the work failed in 2011 in 2012.

States members agreed a £317,000 budget for the work to be carried out by Guernsey-based firm Vaudin Stonemasons.

Consecrated in 1850 the church was built for use by residents and the island's military garrison.
