Guernsey airline Aurigny adds weekend Gatwick service

Guernsey's airline Aurigny will be adding a fifth flight to its Saturday Gatwick service from April.

The additional Saturday service will leave Guernsey at 0830 GMT and return at 1000 GMT.

Aurigny commercial director Malcolm Coupar said: "This extra slots let us increase our capacity on this key day for the leisure and tourist markets."

From April onwards there will be six Gatwick flights every weekday and five each on Saturdays and Sundays.

The States-owned airline was judged as the best short haul carrier by Which! magazine in December 2013.
