Castel wall collapses in gale-force winds

A wall has collapsed and trees have been uprooted in Guernsey after the island was again hit by severe gale-force winds.

People have been told to be vigilant after a section of wall collapsed in Castel, between the Route de Cobo and L'Aumone.

States workers are out clearing roads that have been closed by fallen trees.

Guernsey's Victorian bathing pools at La Valette will remain closed, following previous storm damage.
