Fast ferry sailings between the UK and Channel Islands have been cancelled due to bad weather.

Winds gusting to gale force eight have been forecast for the English Channel.

Condor Ferries said conditions around Guernsey were "out of limits" and so all services between the islands and Poole and Weymouth have been cancelled.

Inter-island services have also been cancelled, but services between Jersey and St Malo in France, will continue to operate.

The conventional ferry is due to operate as scheduled to and from Portsmouth.

Sark Shipping has cancelled all of its afternoon sailings between Guernsey and Sark due to the "ongoing adverse weather conditions".
