Driver unhurt after pole accident in Isle of Man

A motorist escaped serious injury when the car they were driving hit a telegraph pole and overturned on the Isle of Man, police have said.

Emergency services were called to reports of the crash on Peel Road, Crosby, on Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the car, a black Mini, was checked over by paramedics but did not need hospital treatment.

The road was closed between its junctions with the Glen Darragh Road and the Old Church Road until 1900 BST.

Isle of Man Constabulary is appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened near Woodlea Villas at about 1630 BST.
