Man steals keys from Isle of Man house and crashes car

A man broke into a house in the Isle of Man and stole the owner's car before crashing it into another vehicle.

The burglar struck at a property in Laureston Grove area of Douglas, between 0100 and 0230 BST. He took several items, including car keys.

He caused "extensive" damage to the cars before fleeing the scene, Manx police said.

Officers are trying to trace a young man, with light hair and pale coloured jacket, seen running from the car.

He fled towards St Ninians Road and Ballaquayle Road, police said.
