Man injured in Douglas nightclub dance floor fight

A man was left with serious head injuries after a fight on the dance floor of an Isle of Man nightclub.

Two men were involved in the altercation, which broke out at Colours in Douglas in the early hours.

One man was taken by ambulance to Noble's Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. His condition is not life-threatening.

Manx Police said the second man was detained by security staff before officers arrived to arrest him.

He is being held in custody on suspicion of assault, but investigations are continuing.

Sgt Andy Kneen said: "Although there was an early arrest in this case, and we have already spoken to some witnesses we are keen to speak with anyone who was in the club, and who saw any stage of the incident.

"The club was full of customers at the time of these events."
