Regeneration funds for Woodbourne Square in Douglas
Funds have been allocated towards the refurbishment of Woodbourne Square in Douglas as part of the capital's regeneration programme.
Some £100,000 will be used to Tarmac the paths, paint the railings, provide benches, upgrade the drainage system and enrich the gardens.
There are also plans to restore the sundial in the centre of the square.
Councillor Stephen Pitts is hoping the plans will help create a green and open space in the heart of Douglas.
He said: "I would remind the public that dogs are not allowed in any of our garden squares and it is to be hoped that the borough's bye-laws regarding dog fouling and litter are observed."
