Killed Isle of Man motorcyclist identified by police

Police have identified a 34-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a collision involving his bike and two cars in the Isle of Man.

Alexander Williamson died in the crash, which happened on the Peel to Douglas Road, near to the Hawthorn public house.

Mr Williamson was riding a silver Suzuki GSXR1300 when it crashed at about 1625 BST on Monday.

The bike collided with a blue Renault Modus and a blue Ford Mondeo.

The road was closed for two hours while officers carried out an investigation of the scene.

Police have continued to appeal for witnesses.
