Isle of Man anglers' warning for new season
Anglers in the Isle of Man have been warned they will be prosecuted if they are caught fishing without a licence.
The island's fishing season got under way on the 1 April and runs until 31 October.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture said it would be taking a "proactive stance" on licence checks during the season, a spokesman said.
Anglers can get can a licence, costing £57, from the department, post offices and the government website.
