Gas warning issued after Douglas shed and van fire

The Isle of Man fire service has issued a gas cylinder storage warning after a garden shed fire at a home in Douglas.

The fire, which took crews more than three hours to put out, happened at about 15:00 BST on Tuesday.

A shed and a van outside a house in Linden Gardens were said to be "well alight" when fire crews arrived.

A spokesman from the fire service said: "We urge occupiers to ensure that no unwanted gas cylinders or large amounts of fuel are stored in garden sheds".

The fire cause of the fire is currently unknown. No-one was hurt in the incident.
