Delay to Isle of Man Steam Packet ferry journeys

Passengers travelling between the Isle of Man, Liverpool and Ireland are being delayed due a fault with a ferry.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company said a problem with one of four gear boxes means the boat must sail on reduced power until it can be repaired.

The company said to minimise delay wherever possible the vessel may leave up to 15 minutes early.

It is estimated that all journeys will have an added half hour travel time.

The Steam Packet Company apologised for the delay and said it was working to get the problem repaired as soon as possible.
