All tickets for the cancelled Bay Festival will be refunded, according to the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading.

Brokers for the event, Hmvtickets, has confirmed it will begin processing ticket refunds.

Organisers cancelled the three-day music festival in May due to poor ticket sales.

Hmvtickets said all customers will be contacted via email or telephone and it is hoped the refunds will have been processed by 13 September.

A spokesman from the Office of Fair Trading said although there has been a considerable delay, it is hopeful ticket holders will now receive a refund.

The Bay Festival was due to be held in Douglas from 17 to 19 June, at a cost of £1.5m, following the success of last year's event.

Rapper Tinie Tempah had been due to headline the event. Pop group Westlife were also due to perform.
