Some Manx ferry sailings have resumed after severe weather disrupted crossings in the Irish Sea.

Monday's gales meant all sailings from the Isle of Man to Liverpool and Heysham were cancelled.

All sailings scheduled between Douglas and Liverpool on Tuesday remain cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

But all sailings between Heysham and Douglas are set to go ahead as timetabled.

A Steam Packet spokesman said passengers would be helped to find alternative travel arrangements, subject to availability.

Passengers have been advised to phone the Steam Packet company for more information
