Burst water main disrupts supply

A burst water main has affected water supplies to customers in some parts of the island.

The Isle of Man Water Authority said households from Farmhill to Crosby were currently without water.

Engineers have located the burst main near the Snugborough Trading Estate, but the authority has estimated repairs could take several hours.

Browsers will be available at various locations and customers have been advised to boil this water before use.

The Water Authority said once the main had been repaired supplies would return to normal gradually. However, the authority added that some customers may experience discoloured water at first.

More information is available from the customer service department at the Water and Sewerage Authority.
